This movement warm-up game helps students begin to relate costume to character. You do not need to have actual hats to play this game. There are 36 different types of hats listed on the second page of the activity, ready to print out, cut apart and put in a hat or a hatbox. Students take turns choosing them and portraying characters who would wear the various types of hats. There are also three different suggestions for ways to use the hats.
