This short play was contributed by guest author, Mariah Beachboard for use in a class on monologues. The challenge with a monologue class/performance is that only one student can perform at a time. This play incorporates hilarious action and a fun punch line to entertain students and audiences. This skit includes a few well-cut monologues from professional plays. It also includes original monologues written to further the plot. A few monologues may be exchanged for monologues of the student’s choosing, as noted in the script.
Each character has a monologue in this piece. The play can be adjusted for more or fewer students. The script is noted with an asterisk where other monologues could be inserted to suit the student’s talents and goals.
