1. Teacher: When I say focus you say check. Focus!
Students: Check!

*Consider changing the words to suit your group, theme, or play.
Examples: Drama/Queen – William/Shakespeare – Curtain/Call – Cheshire/Cat
2. Teacher: Hear ye, hear ye!
Students: All hail the queen (or king)!
3. Stand still and calmly start humming or singing a single note, students can either join in quietly or stop and give focus.
4. “We are landing our spaceship.” Then begin counting down from ten to one, getting quieter with each number until all are sitting or focused on “one.”
