Here are eight hilarious short clown routines. Use with the Clowning Unit featured on this website, or just for a fun day in class! Have students practice acting out the clown gags in this lesson first and then give them ten minutes to come up with their own funny clown routine!
Example of a clown gag:
Slippery Hat
Clown finds hat on ground. Has trouble picking it up. Wants to put it on his head. Hat too small, hat too big, hat slides off. Finally gets hat on just right and when he goes to greet someone, he tries to tip his hat, and it won’t come off. Hat is stuck on head!
