In this activity, students practice ‘becoming’ different objects, individually, in pairs, or in groups. This exercise encourages creative thinking and can be an excellent warm-up before class or rehearsal. Included are seven different ways to facilitate the activity and TONS of prompts for things that students can ‘become.’
Having the prompts already done for you makes it easy to focus on leading the exercise instead of wracking your brain for ideas. There are also three pages of prompts ready to print out, cut apart and put in a hat.
Examples of individual ‘become’ prompts:
- Become a banana!
- Become scissors!
- Become a clock!
Examples of small group ‘become’ prompts:
- Become a washing machine!
- Become a popcorn popper!
- Become a UFO!
