‘Statue’ is a classic theatre game that teaches students: to work cooperatively together; to put their focus on their stage partner; to be aware of other actors in the playing space; and to apply creativity to a role. When introducing the exercise, many students will often exclaim, “Oh, I know this game!” With eleven different variations in this tutorial, you are sure to keep your students enthralled with new ways to play.
Most variations of the activity either come with exact prompts, or a link to a list of prompts to use. This is one of the ways that Drama Notebook is different from other theatre resources.
