Nine short scenes and discussion questions based on SEL concepts of Respect, Empathy, and Cooperation. Perfect to use in class with ages 6-11.
Drama classrooms are a natural environment for SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Use these nine short scenes to explore “Kindness” through the concepts:
Respect
Empathy
Cooperation
Each scene is intended to be a conversation starter and includes discussion questions to ask your students. Great for ages 6-11.
Example of a scene about respect:
New Phone
A. Did you get a new phone?
B. Yeah. My grandpa gave it to me for my birthday.
A. Wow! It’s so cool. Can I see it?
B. Well…it’s brand new.
A. I’m not gonna break it.
B. I know. It’s just that I’m still kind of figuring it out, you know?
A. Oh, right. I understand.
B. Maybe after I’ve had some time with it.
Example of a discussion question about respect:
Has anyone ever broken something special of yours? How did you react?
