Example of a scene about courage:
Talent Show
A. The talent show is coming up soon. Are you going to try out?
B. I don’t know. It sounds scary.
A. But you are a great singer.
B. Thanks. I do love to sing, but singing in front of people makes me nervous.
A. I could help you.
B. How?
A. You could sing in front of me until you feel more comfortable.
B. That might work.
A. Then, when it’s time for the talent show you can look at me in the audience.
B. It still sounds scary, but I think I want to do it.
Example of a discussion question about courage:
Have you ever wanted to do something even though it was scary?
