Drama classrooms are a natural environment for SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Use these nine short scenes to explore what it means to “Be Well” through the concepts of:
Gratitude
Honesty
Creativity
Each scene is intended to be a conversation starter and includes discussion questions to ask your students. Great for ages 11-15.
Example of a scene about honesty:
Chess
A. Hmm…Where should I move next?
B. How about diagonally with your Bishop?
A. No. Then you could take my Queen.
B. This game is taking a long time.
A. That’s chess. It takes a long time.
B. How about your pawn?
A. No. That would open up my King.
B. Hey! Look over there? (A looks the other way and B cheats by moving one of A’s pieces)
A. (Looking around) What?
B. Oh, I thought I saw something. Never mind.
Example of a discussion question about honesty:
Have you ever played a game and someone cheated?
