Here is a list of 20 books/stories that are particularly suited to be used in drama class for students ages 3-8. Most of these are for younger students and they are organized according to difficulty, so books for older students are near the end.

Narrative Pantomime
Invite the students to find their own space in the room. Tell them that this is a silent activity. As you read the story, have the children act out what is happening. They are each in their own world as they experience the movements and emotions of the characters.
