Literally
Two friends argue about the word literally.

A. Trust me. I’ve literally done this a million times.

B. Really?

A. Yes. Really.

B. You’re telling me you’ve climbed on the roof a million times?

A. Yeah. Don’t be a chicken.

B. I’m not a chicken. I’m just questioning your use of the word literally.

A. What?

B. Nothing.

A. You’re not afraid of heights, are you?

B. Nope.

A. Good. Because you’re literally going to be blown away by how high up we are.

B. There you go again.

A. What?

B. You keep saying the word literally.

A. So what?

B. You don’t really mean literally.

A. Yeah, I do.

B. No, you don’t. Literally means exactly or accurately. But you haven’t literally been on the roof a million times and I’m not literally going to be blown away.

A. Okay. Whatever. Now that we’re up here, look at this view! What do you think?

(B gazes out and is awestruck by the amazing view.)

B. It’s literally the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.

A. Literally.
