About the Playwright:

Jennifer Reif has been teaching, directing, and performing around the Pacific Northwest for decades. Her shelves are lined with children’s books and her happy place is in the woods. She loves devising theatre projects with kids and sharing creative ideas with teachers. Jennifer holds her BA in Theatre from Morningside College and also studied at Oxford University in England.

CHEF & WAITER

WAITER: Hello Chef.

CHEF: Hello Waiter.

WAITER: What is the special today?

CHEF: Do you mean what is the daily special?

WAITER: Yes, that is what I mean.

CHEF: The daily special is mac and cheese.

WAITER: Oh, I love mac and cheese!

CHEF: My mac and cheese is the best in town.

WAITER: What makes it so good?

CHEF: I use a secret ingredient.

WAITER: Is it pepper?

CHEF: No.

WAITER: Is it pickles?

CHEF: No.

WAITER: Is it pineapple?

CHEF: No.

WAITER: What is it?

CHEF: Can you keep a secret?

WAITER: Yes.

CHEF: My secret ingredient is cheese.

WAITER: Cheese is not a secret.

CHEF: Shhhh!
