Included are:
  • Sheet music for 8 songs (at the end of the script).
  • A link to 16 music tracks to download, 8 with just piano, and 8 with background vocals (background only-no principal).

ACT 1 – THE NORTH POLE

NARRATOR: The scene is the North Pole. It’s nearly Christmas Eve and the elves have been very busy. They’ve been working hard to make gifts for Santa to take to girls and boys everywhere around the world. Now they’ve just finished for the day.

(ALL ELVES enter, extras can be included)

ELF 1:
Whew! All the train sets have been finished and I’ve been making so-o-o many dolls.

ELF 2:
And we’ve nearly finished all the bats and balls. There are such a lot of them.

(HEAD ELF enters with long list)

HEAD ELF: Well done, Elves. We’ll be finished in time.

ELF 1: Well, we’ve had a lot of practice.

ELF 2: Yes. We do it every year. It’s so exciting!

HEAD ELF: When everything’s finished, I’ll check again through the list.

ELF 1: We’ll help pack the sleigh.

ELF 2: Then Santa’s reindeer will come.

ELF 1: We’ll tie their reins onto the sleigh.

HEAD ELF: And if it’s foggy on Christmas Eve, we might even need Rudolph, too.

ELF 2: Yes, we know who all the reindeer are.

Song 1 – Santa’s Reindeer

ELVES 1 & 2:
Oh, we know the reindeer
Who pull Santa’s sleigh,
They come to the North Pole
Before Christmas Day.
There’s usually eight
But sometimes there’s nine,
An extra one comes
If the weather’s not fine.

ALL ELVES:
There’s Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen,
The extra one’s Rudolph
Whom everyone knows
Because he’s the reindeer
Who has a red nose.

ELVES 3 & 4:
Dasher and Dancer
Like doing high kicks,
Prancer and Vixen
Both get up to tricks.
Comet and Cupid
Are twins, don’t you know,
And Donner and Blitzen
Like rolling in snow.

ALL ELVES: Oh…

Chorus:
There’s Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen,
The extra one’s Rudolph
Whom everyone knows
Because he’s the reindeer
Who has a red nose.

ELVES 5 & 6
When Santa is ready
With all of his toys,
He packs up the sleigh
For the girls and the boys.
The reindeer arrive
And they stand in a row,
They take up their leads
And away they all go.

ALL ELVES:
There’s Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen,
The extra one’s Rudolph
Whom everyone knows
‘Because he’s the reindeer
Who has a red nose.
Oh yes, he’s the reindeer
Who has a red nose.
